SUPPORTING CLUBS ACROSS NEW ZEALAND

New Zealand Football in collaboration with the six member Federations have designed the Club Support Programme. This replaces the Quality Club Mark accreditation.

The Xero Together Stronger - Club Support Programme has no cost to clubs.

Regardless of their size of the club, the program helps to:

    • increase governance and operating capability.
    • improve  financial and planning processes.
    • provide safe environments for all members including children and vulnerable adults.
    • understand and connect with communities with a specific focus on girls and women and diverse communities.
    • provide quality football and futsal experiences to members including players, coaches, referees and volunteers.

Going through this accreditation as a club is done online, and both WaiBOP and New Zealand Football have staff available to help clubs through.

For the clubs who have completed the process - and those who are close to finishing - it has been a valuable exercise to identify any gaps and areas of improvement in the running of your club.

If your club is interested in taking part in the programme, then click below to express your interest and we will be in touch.

The purpose for football in NZ - to enrich lives and connect people through positive experiences to build strong communities.

Congratulations to Hamilton WanderersPapamoa FCTauranga Blue RoversTe Awamutu AFC, Lakes FC, Cambridge FC and Omokoroa FC who have all gained the first level of accreditation in the Xero Together Stronger - Club Support Programme.

    What is it?

    It has three parts:

    • Business and financial resources: including templates and guides for clubs to use. Templates include job descriptions for Volunteer roles, Code of Conduct, and a guide to strategic planning

    • Education: access to New Zealand Football’s community game webinars, and Xero’s financial literacy series. Webinars cover topics such as funding, volunteering, governance, strategic planning and online engagement.

    • Accreditation: this supports the development of processes to help the club meet best practice, be sustainable and be safe for their members and community.
