McDonald’s Hamilton continues support of local football

The team at McDonald’s Hamilton will continue as WaiBOP Football partners after signing up for a further twelve months.

McDonald’s Hamilton hold naming rights for the wildly popular McDonald’s Waikato 5-a-side tournament, scheduled for Hamilton’s Jansen Park on September 21 and 22, along with the McDonald’s Hamilton First Kicks clusters, which are held at five locations across the city throughout the season.

The McDonald’s brand is heavily linked with football across New Zealand so the partnership between McDonald’s Hamilton and WaiBOP Football is a natural fit. “We love giving back to the local community,” said Danielle Lorberbaum, McDonald’s Hamilton's Marketing Manager. “The McDonald’s Waikato 5-a-side tournament is a huge grassroots sporting event and we’re excited to continue our involvement. It will also be great to get out and about on Saturday mornings during the season to see Hamilton’s youngest players doing what they do best at the McDonald’s Hamilton First Kicks clusters.”

WaiBOP Football’s CEO, Karyn Walters, is pleased McDonald’s Hamilton have chosen to continue their support of local football. “McDonald’s Hamilton have been important partners of WaiBOP Football for several years now and I’m delighted our relationship will continue,” said Walters. “The support of the team at McDonald’s Hamilton allows us to continue to run a key event such as the McDonald’s Waikato 5-a-side tournament.”
