MCDONALD’S ROTORUA BACKING LOCAL FOOTBALL

WaiBOP Football is delighted that McDonald’s Rotorua are part of WaiBOP Football’s family of partners as naming rights sponsor for the new McDonald’s Rotorua Junior Football Tournament.

To be played on Saturday September 30, the McDonald’s Rotorua Junior Football Tournament has attracted an impressive 50+ teams across the various junior age grades (7th to 12th).

Alongside the football, there will be plenty of other activity for the kids with the McDonald’s inflatable pitch on-site for the day, giveaways and a whole lot of fun while enjoying the beautiful game. With teams from Rotorua, Hamilton, Tauranga, all over the Waikato Bay of Plenty region and also Auckland it’s sure to be a superb day.

Rob and Linley Parry, owners of McDonald’s Rotorua, are looking forward to the tournament. “This is a new event that matches our passion for sport with our passion for the Rotorua area,” said Linley.

“It’s actually quite exciting to be in on the ground floor with something fresh and with so much potential. Given the amount of teams entered it gives the players a full day of sport and it will also bring lots of people to our great city for the day.

“Rob and I are really looking forward to being part of this initiative and I hope it is the first of many events and partnerships between ourselves and WaiBOP Football.”

McDonald’s Rotorua was also naming rights sponsor for the 2017 McDonald’s Rotorua junior leagues.
